One time after dropping the kids of at school I noticed this stunning vertical garden that someone created on the corner of La Cienega and Cullen. So today I stopped by to take some photos. What a smart and beautiful way to keep your wall graffiti free.
The place to explore my art and the things that inspire my paintings and crafty things that I love to do.

Open studio 3
Almost done.
Liam snaps a photo of me adding the last finishing touches.
He checks it out and wonders: "Mami, why are my teeth golden?" Somehow I had a feeling a few posts below, that that might be an issue for him.
So he tried to fix by brushing the teeth with my brush.
Nooo... don't brush your teeth with that.
And finally it's done. Yay

Nature at work
Nature just does the most amazing art. As I was taking the boys and their friends out to a fun filled adventure in Temescal Canyon I stumbled across this dead tree. I wish I could get one of these bugs to do some of these cool patters for my paintings.

Open Studio 2
Liam is starting to come to life.
Yesterday I was painting his mouth. It really felt weird to paint brown teeth, since he always brushes so carefully and adds extra baking soda to his toothpaste to keep them really white. But since he hasn't said anything about the orange hair, he might just fine with it.
In the meantime Lazlo has stopped thinking that I'm painting a cat and is currently thinking that I'm painting him.

Welcome to my Open Studio
This is an invitation to look over my shoulder as I'm working on my newest painting. I usually get to work on it on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays when the kids are in school. So make sure to check in on the progress.

The next generation
Here are my two amazing sons learning the secrets of the trade. I guess it is to become part of your art.
Liam age 3
Liam age 5
Lazlo age 3
... and no we are not afraid of colors. I guess it runs in the genes.

From my treasure chest
So that was enough about me for now. Here are two one of a kind things I made, My son Lazlo and the necklace both took me 9 month to finish. The free flow necklace was inspired by the beautiful work of Beverly Ash Gilbert and me obsession with moonstones after Lazlo was born.
